Syngenta organizes 5th tomato conference
Netherlands
Friday 16 May 2008
Next week on 19-21 May the 5th celebration of the Syngenta Tomato Conference will take place in the Netherlands. This is the only global international event for the fresh tomato industry, and under the slogan “Taste: creating quality of life”, it will serve as a meeting point for all the players in the tomato business, where they will have the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the challenges of the market, find new solutions and business opportunities. What’s more, it is the ideal place to discover new products and to establish new business-to-business relations.
The main themes of this year will be taste, the discovery of new products and business models, and the development of relationships and synergies.
Taste
Always at the vanguard of innovation, the Syngenta Tomato Conference addresses the issues that shape the most important market demands for tomatoes. Whereas the 4th conference, held in Sicily in 2005, focused on the need to offer a specific tomato variety for each purpose, the activities of this year’s event will revolve around Taste.
Taste is now globally becoming the one factor that sets agro-business products apart from one another, while at the same time guiding consumers in their selection process. This year the Syngenta Seeds Tomato Conference is giving centre stage to this increasing demand for taste, featuring a broad panel of speakers from different sectors and backgrounds who will be discussing the issue during the event.
