Organic products more and more present on the menu of Andalusian schools

Initiative of the Ministries of Education and Agriculture, the integration of organic products in school menus is a success. Always more participating schools and ever more volumes of organic products.
For this school year, the Andalucía region has announced the participation of nearly 1300 schools. This is an increase of 1.5% compared to 2016-17. Since the 1st edition, for the 2011-12 school year, the consumption of organic products has multiplied by 12.
Nearly 4 million kilos of organic products were provided for the preparation of school menus over the last year; this volume should be exceeded this year.
