Marking the 20th anniversary of Freshfel Europe and celebrating the International Year of Fruits & Vegetables, 2021 is a key year for the entire Fresh Fruits & Vegetables sector. The health crisis having revealed that the sector is essential for a healthy and sustainable future.
According to Philippe Binard, General Delegate of Freshfel Europe, in addition to the 20th anniversary of Freshfel Europe, the representative body at European level for the fresh produce sector, and the International Year of Fruits & Vegetables decided by the UN, 2021 is a special year. "There is no doubt that 2021 is a key year for the sector in the eyes of the public as an essential sector for a healthy and sustainable future for all citizens."
For its Freshfel Europe Annual Event 2021, which will be held online on June 4, the organization has decided to open its doors to all operators and stakeholders in the fresh produce sector. Registrations are free and open via an online registration form on the Freshfel Europe website.
The 3-hour online event will bring together leaders of the Fresh Fruit & Vegetable sector from across Europe and key decision-makers influencing EU policy. It will consist of 4 sessions covering detailed information on the opportunities for the sector to lead the way for a healthy and sustainable future. Market and EU policy opportunities will be examined.
Before the event open to all, Freshfel Europe will hold its Annual General Meeting.
