Early start for Turkish lemons

The export season for Turkish lemons begins about 25 days earlier than in previous years, and this time with a single variety of lemon: the MEYER variety. It is a lemon from small to medium size, juicy and less acidic than other varieties with thin skin which, until recently, was an obstacle to export, due to its careful handling.
The Turkish domestic demand is also excellent and high prices are expected to continue until the end of the Feast of Sacrifice, which begins next weekend and will last 9 days.
Then prices should fall due to the fact that the Spanish and Turkish harvests return to normal amounts compared to last season.
