A harvest compromised by late frosts

The apricot is native of Armenia as seems to prove its scientific name.
The scientific name of the apricot is "prunus armeniaca" or plum of Armenia.
Cultivated since a long time, the Armenian apricot began to be massively exported.
This year, the harvest of apricots will be reduced because of late frosts which have struck apricot trees in bloom in some provinces of the country, in particular the main region of production, in Ararat where about 3000 hectares of orchards seems to be touched.
The Department of the agriculture does not still have definitive data but the objective of a volume of 60 000 tons of export seems damaged.
