New Sales Citrus Centre in Spain

On March 27, a new citrus sales centre called Ceven was presented in Valencia. Large citrus producers from Andalucia, Murcia and Valencia took the initiative for the joint formation of a sales centre, which is intended to ultimately represent 30% of the total citrus supply. Presently the production of 100K MT of oranges, clementines and lemons is joined in Ceven, which guarantees all its members a minimum price, equal to the production cost price and offer some counterweight to the commission trade in citrus.
