Cold weather in Florida will affect the oranges prices.

The cold weather strikes also the south east of the United States. This is impacting the fruit & vegetable prices. The oranges harvest in Florida will certainly be affected and the prices of orange juices will reach heights.

Florida as the second producer of oranges after Brazil,is a true indicator of prices of oranges concentrates. Yesterday, even in the south of Orlando, the temperatures have falled under O°C, which is an unusual fact. The oranges which are in harvesting season, may freeze on the trees, which would destroy the harvest.

 The oranges harvest was already forecasted to be down of 20%, with less superficies, a destructing insect and the cold will not make any better, all the contrary !

Since february , the prices have already doubled. Prices which should be re-negociated soon could be higher from 30% this year.
