Distriplus starts building a new depot in Morocco
The French company Distriplus (Volgelsheim, 68), specialist in the fruit and vegetable export to Germany has begun building its first site in Morocco.
This is due to the tightening up of Moroccan rules which stipulates that exports companies must now have their own building in Morocco (along with an export number) to be able to export.
This was thought to be a good way to help borders partrols in their fight against smuggling, as smugglers used to take advantage of unsealed lorries to smuggle contreband.
According to new regulations, lorries must now leave the companies' buildings with seals which cannot be opened until the borders are crossed.
The new building will also be used as a growing site for salads, and in time hold offices for trading purposes in Morocco.
