The weather is favourable for Brazilian oranges and strawberries

share
Brazil
Thursday 03 May 2007

TK

The weather typical for south Brazilian autumn with big differences in temperatures between 17 and 33 grades of centigrade and rainfall about 10 to 33 millimeters, is favourable to ripening of the oranges from Itapolis, Bebedouro, Matao and Araraquara. As a result, producers expect much better taste and colours of the fruits which will be supplied on the market in following weeks most of all when the weather conditions for works in field and for transport will be as good as at present.
Harvest of the strawberries in Jundiai, Jarinu, Atibaia and Monte Alegre do Sul continues without any obstacles and in favourable low night temperature what augments expectations of a high quality crop this season.
