Stocks and Production of Pears in Germany in Current Season

Based on stock numbers and sales data from producer organizations the commercial pear production in 2006/07 is predicted at the level of 51,000 tonnes. In previous season the production of pear was 53,000 tonnes. Commercial pear stocks amounted to about 2,585 tonnes on December 1, 2006, compared to 2,320 tonnes the year before what means decrease of 11%.
