CMA CGM reinforces its position as leader of transport in Africa

Already firmly established in Africa with 72 offices in 43 countries, 25 maritime services, 1,300 employees, CMA CGMA group is now the leader of transport in Africa and continues to develop.
In 2013, CMA CGM group carried 1.2 million TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent) to/from Africa. In January 2014, the Group acquired 25% participation in the terminal Lekki (Nigeria); has launched a new service dedicated to the ports of Mozambique; has launched a new service to Somalia. In February 2014, the group opened two new branches in Mauritania (Nouakchott, Nouadhibou).
In February 2014, the group has put into service , a second container platform in Dakar on, TCD2, allowing it to increase capacity and offer new services to customers. Ideally located close to major roads and rail routes, these platforms allow quick connection to intermodal transportation network of CMA CGM. Total area: 12,000 m2 (TCD1), 15,000 m2 (TCD2) storage capacity full/empty : about 1000 TEU, 64 Reefer catches.
