Dole sells its subsidiaries in Spain and Portugal to" La Compagnie Fruitière"

Dole Food Company will sell its Spanish and Portuguese subsidiaries to its French partner, La Compagnie Fruitière in which Dole is shareholder at 40%.

 
Dole Food Company announced the signing of an agreement for the sale of businesses in maturation and distribution of Dole in Spain and Portugal (Spain Dole) to the group "La Compagnie Fruitière". The sale would take place in November.
 

 
"This transaction follows on direct sales of our companies in maturation and distribution in France and in England to the Compagnie Fruitière in 2008. This will allow Dole and La Compagnie Fruitière to better serve the Spanish and Portuguese markets, offering our customers a wider range of products and  a better policy of selling more integrated, "said Johan Linden, President of Dole Europe.

 
La Compagnie Fruitière, owned by 60% by the family, is the largest producer of fruits in Africa, in Caribbean and in Pacific.
