Appeal for a second green revolution

The general manager of the United Nations for the food and the agriculture (FAO), Jacques Diouf, launched on Wednesday an appeal for the second green revolution which would allow to feed an increasing world population while protecting natural resources and environment
Jacques Diouf underlined that a major international effort will be required during the next decades to feed the world when the world population will pass, in a few years, from 6 to 9 billion persons, indicates a communiqué of the FAO.
