Prune: price is going to increase

While the producers of South west of France waited for a big harvest of 70.000 tons of prune for 2006, a big storm at the beginning of July on the main areas of production of Lot et Garonne destroyed from 15.000 to 25.000 tons of plums d'Ente, which represent 5000 to 8000 tons of prunes and broken 10.000 trees. As a results, only 54.000 tons of prunes will be produced this year.
