Eggplant season has recently started in Poland

According to the agricultural specialists, eggplant harvesting has recently started in Poland. Newly cut yield has not appeared in polish vegetables market yet. Last June the prices for imported products and local ones were of one bracket, which allowed polish vegetables producers to sell eggplants at reasonable prices. Current season whole sale prices for eggplants brought from Holland comprise 0,95 EURO / kg. While prices for local vegetables are higher – around 1,2 EURO / kg. This factor prevents local eggplants producers from selling vegetables at competitive prices at this moment.
