New record expected for exporations of grapes in Europe

The only supplier of Europe between February and April, India is planning increase in exports.
India plans, for the second consecutive year, a record volume of grapes exported to Europe. Last year, Indian grape exports totaled to 4,500 containers, while European demand provided only 3,500 containers early in the season.
Thus, Mahindra Shubhlabh, agricultural branch of Mahindra Group, recorded a 40% growth in exports to Europe, becoming the largest Indian exporter of the season.
For the period 2012-13, India exported 1.72 lakh tons (1 ton = 100 000 lakh tons) of grapes nearly 56,572 tons took the direction to Europe.
