DB Schenker Logistics and Maersk Line (1st global shipping company ) signed a strategic agreement for a period of 6 years which aims to reduce CO2 emissions from sea freight.
This partnership underscores the common will of the two companies to be part of sustainable economic growth process. By 2020, Maersk Line is committed to reducing by 20% - based on 2014 levels - CO2 emissions for each container transported on behalf of DB Schenker Logistics.
The objective of this long-term agreement is to encourage customers to be part of a sustainable ocean freight approach by integrating environmental criteria in their decision making.DB Schenker is one of the world leaders in its sector.
This internationally, transport and logistics division of Deutsche Bahn has a network in nearly 140 countries and serves 700,000 customers.
