Chinese walnut product set to increase

The 2005/06 Chinese walnut crop is forecast to rise by 8 percent to 388,000 tonnes.
The increase is due to good weather conditions and increased acreage.
About 10 percent of the total crop is exported, mainly to Japan and Europe, with exports likely to increase further as world demand for walnuts rises.
