Shaanzi region records a new production award

For the 1st time the Shaanzi region just exceeded 10 million tonnes for its apple production .

Production in 2014 reached 9.8 million tonnes and production in 2015 totaled 10.55 million tons. An increase of 8%. However , professionals have announced falling prices of approximately 30 % compared to the previous season.

Various factors explain this decline with weak exports , according to them caused by changes in exchange rates.

The Shaanzi region has about 1040 acres ( 420.80 hectares) of orchards which constitutes the largest area of contiguous apple .
