Prices will rise for fruit and vegetables
Poland
Tuesday 09 January 2007
Prices of all vegetables will rise during next couple of months, according to the Polish daily Rzeczpospolita. This rise will be not more than 3-5 % on average. Higher increases are not possible due to the fact that vegetable wholesale prices were already high in 2006 and further rises can lead to increased import. But there are exceptions - potatoes prices can rise as much as 50%, onion, carrot and parsley - about 30%.
