SICA Terre Réunionnaise will create its own brand

SICA Terre Réunionnaise is the organization of the largest producers of La Reunion.
The cooperative now includes 212 producers offering a range of 52 fruit and vegetables. Main products are: Tomato (1708 tons), salads (1 million 313 000 C) and bananas (1.230 tons). Its production volume has reached nearly 9,000 tons in 2009.
SICA TR has established a quality policy based on sustainable agriculture in which 112 of its producers are currently certified. SICA TR working on creating a brand: Terre Réunionnaise.
Real guarantee of quality fruit and vegetables and their traceability, this brand may eventually offer products fully certified in farming.
SICA TR provides medium and large distribution of the island, reached 8% market share and has set a target of 20% in the near future.
