How to export cherries from Chile to China for the first time
VU
The Agricultural and Livestock Service of Chile (SAG) has issued a call to participants of SAG Grower Code (CSG) farms who wish to export cherries to China in the 2023-2024 season. Specifically, they are targeting those who were not included in the "List of registered participants for the export of cherries to China" during the previous season (2022-2023). These growers are requested to complete a registration survey, which will be available until July 28, using the link.
The newly registered participants under CSG and CSP (SAG Packing Code) will only be allowed to start exports once the 2023-2024 season list is authorized by the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC).
For each new season of cherry exports from Chile to China, GACC permits shipments only from CSG farms that were registered in the previous season. In recent years, the authorization of new participants has been subject to an audit conducted by the official Chinese authority during the harvest and fruit packing period.
For further information, get in touch with the Agricultural Export Supervisor at the nearest SAG Export Office based on their location.
