Italy is one of the largest asparagus producers in Europe

Today, Italy is one of Europe's largest asparagus producers, as important as France, Germany and Greece, but still behind Spain. Italy produces 30 000/35 000 tons of asparagus on 5 500 hectares between the north and the south of the country.
