Turkish hazelnuts exports

According to the Vice-President of the Union of Exporters of the Black Sea Hazelnut and its products, approximately 167,000 tons of hazelnuts were exported during the period from 1 September 2014 to 11 May 2015, worth 2.1 billion dollars, despite the decline in production, which opened the door to much speculation on prices.

These figures are well above the expectations of industry professionals and producers especially are particularly satisfied with the prices achieved during the 2014-2015 season. Turkey is one of the largest producers of hazelnuts in the world.
