Peruvian chili pepper exports exceed $5.3 million in 2022

Peruvian exports of Cayena, Tabasco, Rocoto, Panca and Amarillo peppers throughout 2022 totaled 2,240,710 kilos, worth $5,392,852, according to Agrodata Peru.

 

The largest recipient of these vegetables in 2022 was the United States, constituting 84% of the total value. The other destination countries were Spain, Saudi Arabia, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Japan and others.

 

It should be noted that in 2021, the country sent the world 2,016,686 kilos of chili peppers for $4,273,358.
