Prices of fruit and vegetables may decrease in 15 days in Argentina

To go and choose fresh produce to prepare tasty salad in traditional vegetable market in Argentina can be a very unhealthy occupation. It is due to high rise in prices of fruit and vegetables. Tomatoes, for example, cost presently 1,46EUR/kg and pass even 1,95EUR/kg in some commercial outlets. The average price of paprika exceeds 2,43EUR/kg.
However the rest of fruit and vegetables basket is also very expensive: apples don't fall below 0,54EUR/kg; banana costs 0,61EUR/kg, oranges 0,49EUR/kg, lettuce exceeds 1,22EUR and onion 0,61EUR/kg. According data of the National Institute of Statistics (Indec) between March 2006 and March 2007, the price of vegetables increased 21,5% and fruit 13,6%.
