The French collective presents the results of its international study on consumer habits and preferences.
This year again, Blue Whale®, the leading French cooperative, will showcase its value proposition at the Fruit Attraction trade show in Madrid, from October 8th to 10th. On this occasion, they will be doing so with a 130 m2 booth in Hall 6, stand C07, and a clear vision for the future: placing consumer desires at the heart of their development plans. "Our goal is to create value for both our producers and our buyers: wholesalers, supermarkets, and fruit retailers. But for all this to make sense, we cannot forget a key element: the consumer," explains Bruno Bertheloz, CEO of Blue Whale®. "Consumer tastes have changed in recent years, and the industry has not always been able to react in time. It's time to put the consumer at the heart of our business," he adds.
In-depth consumer research and product portfolio To achieve this, the French group has conducted a comprehensive study of consumer needs and trends in its main European, Asian, and American markets. The analysis of these results has given rise to the French group's future strategy, which is now being presented at Fruit Attraction. One of their goals is to offer varieties that reconcile consumers with the pleasure of enjoying them. To do so, Blue Whale® has reorganized its apple portfolio by segmenting it according to the taste profiles of its consumers worldwide. The crisp Envy, the sweet Candine, and the surprising Kissabel are their modern varieties adapted to new tastes. For its part, Coeur de Reine offers a balanced profile, perfect for the traditional and more mature French palate. These varieties, among others, complete a portfolio with a total of 30 available apple varieties.
